The WEEE system

Decree 151/05  is known as the national mangerial system for WEE, in which based on their assigned competences, all those involved participate, in particular Producers and Distributers of local companies.

For the "historical" WEEEFor what concerns the "historic" WEEE, the law intends everything that comes from elecrical and electronic household appliances on the market before 31st December 2010, the law stabilizes that the producers organize themselves as a Collective System, with the job of  recycling the hi-tech rubbish at the ecological points present  all over Italy.

The collective systems can operate in a transversal manner on all WEEE types or specialize singular groups (cold and air-conditioning, electronic for the consumer, fluorescent heat source, etc) manageing only some of the types. This is precisely the choice that Ecodom has made, guaranteeing an excellent handling of recycle and the recover of the poluted substances contained, Ecodom operates exclusively with large white household appliances, hoods and water heaters.

Ecodom has also chosen to avail to a specialized collective system, for the management of small household appliances and air-conditioners (the consortium offers thi to its fellow consortiums).

Each of the collective systems work freely under the supervision of the central coordination, which lays the operative and logistic  rules, for the correct running of WEEE all over Italy, in accordance to a model which foresees a active involvement also by Distributers, towns and consumers.

A part from the collection from various pre- assigned points around the tows, WEEE then go to plants to be treated, and re-usable parts are regenerated and safely disposed, those parts for which no recycling is possible
