Our Task

Active all over Italy, Ecodom manages all of the recycling cycles of large non- professional household appliances which belong to the following groups, cold, cooking, washing, hoods and hot water tanks.

The special way that these household appliances and tanks are treated, allows the consortium to focus it's expertise, quaranteeing the quality of the treatment and efficiency in the management of this type of waste.

Furthermore, ex gratia for consortium producers,Ecodom, also manages by means of an operative agreement with another collective  system which is specialized in these types of WEEE, small household appliances (PED) and air conditioners.  

To be precise Ecodom is involved in the following:

• collecting WEEE from the assigned pick-up points allover Italy;
• transportion of "historic" household appliances to the chosen plants for treatment;
• treating, recyling, re-usal and disposal of  the appliances;
• supervise all the activity for the teatment of WEEE and  to guarantee that the objectives of recycling and the  retreival  of the material present inside the appliances as  by the decree law 151/05.

The consortium's most important aim however, is to prevent substances from leaking into the enviroment, and to maximize the retreival of material to be re-inserted into the productive cycle. inorder to obtain this, Ecodom has an agreement with its most qualified partners and settled an operative synergy with  the WEEE plaintiffs  "filiera" RAEE ( companies, premises, retail posts,  consumers, people involved in the work).
