The aim

In order to finance this recycling treatment, the law forsees that the producers have the possibility to apply a WEE eco-contribute on new retail appliances. This come under the form of a surcharge, which may be visable or hidden depending on whether its an extra, or included in the price, the aim is purely enviromental.

To be crystal clear, Ecodom's partners have all decided to display the WEEE eco-contribute applieed to the products, thus permitting  the consumers to be informed of the recycling costs.

Infact the WEE eco-contribute, is exclusively needed to finance the recycling process, from collection of the waste to the recovery and disposal. For this reason neither the producer nor point of sale gains anything.
